Ashton has been farmed by the Edwards family since 1937 when Bill's family came as tenant farmers to the Berrington Hall Estate. In the 1970's Bill bought the farm from the Cawley's, giving up half his acreage. Bill & Pam decided to convert the farm buildings into accommodation for their son and daughter, and cater for holiday cottages. The land is let as grass keep for sheep.

East & West Granary Cottages are converted from a half timbered granary with garages underneath, approached by a short flight of steps. Traditional country living in a relaxing, comfortable farmhouse environment. Each can sleep approx 5 people; 1 double bedroom and 1 bedroom with 3 single beds.
